The Holden blimp was sighted teasing the crowd at Adelaide Botanic Gardens Moonlight Cinema, an event incidentally sponsored by Holden's competitor Nissan. The more observant in the crowd noted that this friendly competition could have been a perfect cover for the opportunity to survey the city of Adelaide.

The suspicious airship was sighted on several subsequent occasions in the area of Adelaide, then later overflying the Goolwa Classic Air Show. On this occasion, we suspect that the blimp operator was attempting to ascertain the level of aviation technology possessed by residents of the Goolwa area. A possible security threat to South Australians? This airship spotter would not rule out the possibility.

The blimp was 100 feet above ground level. It was circling around in tight circles. I think it was a surveillance blimp.
